He is Security Vigilance & Administration professional with background in defence services with 25 years of total experience. Corporate experience of 20 years across Security Design, Office Safety, Investigations, Audits and providing business continuity. He is expert in developing strategies for safety, security and information protection; as also implementing and supervising the activities to limit breach in safety and security parameters. He is vastly experienced in man management, vendor management and administration.
Besides B.Com; LL.B and MBA degrees he also has coveted certifications such as Certified Protection Professional - CPP (American Society of Industrial Security), Certified Fraud Examiner - CFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners) and Certified Security Manager - CSM (International Institute of Security & Safety Management). His Security career began with a stint of six years in the Army and from being posted on the heights of the Siachin Glacier to undergoing rigorous advanced military training, The Army was the right platform to learn and then launch into a commercial career as a security professional. He was awarded the Armored Corp Gold Medal in the Officers’ Training Academy. He was an instructor in the weapons and RT. He is recipient of Fellowship from IISSM. Capt G Raj Kumar has total 25 years of experience out of which he served 14 years in the Armed Forces and rest 11 years in GAIL. He has unique distinction of serving in Indian Air force as well as Indian Army. While in Army he has been involved in Counter Insurgency Operations.
He developed expertize in Developing/sustaining the existing network and effectively managing the Supply Chain, ensuring timely and cost effective deliverables viz. surface transport, sea and air. He was responsible in managing Distribution Network/ Supply chain for distributing rations, fuel, oil, lubes, ammunition, medicines, engineer stores, clothing and tents and other unit equipment. He was involved in forecasting, provisioning, planning & maintaining of stock levels and ensuring optimization of inventory level, re-order level, indentation and issue; ensuring quality control
He holds MBA (HRD) from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur before joining GAIL. Now he is pursuing Ph. D in Personnel Management. At present he is working in GAIL and posted at Vizag, Andhra Pradesh. A keen sports enthusiast, he represents AP Badminton Team. Previously he has played in badminton tournaments conducted by Petroleum Sports Control Board. An specialist in the field of Security, Safety and Hospitality Industry he has more than twenty five years’ experience in management position with major Airports, Airlines, Hotels and Cruise Lines. He is Founder & Hon. Convenor, Security Association of Goa. His vast experience as a Security Officer at the airports handling airline security and as the Chief Security Officer on major cruise liners gave him just the platform needed to launch his foray into another kind of business. He began to recruit and place crew for cruise ships.
On April 7, 2008 he established the International Cruises Culinary Academy Pvt Ltd- the Business school for Culinary Arts. By this singular act he succeeded in offering not just jobs, but careers to Goan students as also providing skilled crew to the cruise liners.
